Electrocardiogram

also known as an ECG or EKG in the medical world is a non-surgical, diagnostic test that looks at the electrical activity of the heart muscle (myocardium). The test may be administered while a patient is at rest or while performing certain designated exercises. ECGs/EKGs may help to detect or characterize cardiac conduction defects, abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias), enlargement (cardiac hypertrophy), or localized damage in heart muscle.

The ECG/EKG Training Class is 8 hours in length, typically held on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6-10pm for two nights. This time will be spent primarily doing hands on performance of EKG's on fellow students and friends and family. Classes are held in Salt Lake City (Murray) Utah and Boise, Idaho.
