Do I have to have all of the money up front or do you have a payment plan?
You can pay all of your tuition up front or make payments. In the case of payments, we require a minimum of $100.00 on the first night of class to start the class, and the balance of the tuition is due on or before the last night of class. You must have half of your tuition paid before the start of the third week when we begin drawing blood. You will not graduate the program until your tuition is paid in full.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover as well as being aligned with and approved by many state funding agencies.
What is the difference between the National and Standard Class?
The Standard class is for those who are either already drawing blood, or have alot of medical experience and are just looking for a certificate that will allow them to draw blood in Utah. The National program is more tailored to those individuals who are new to the medical field, or who have never drawn blood before. The National program is 36 hours of book and hands on training and the standard class is 12 hours of book / hands on training. 90% of students attend the National Class, 10% of students attend the Standard Class.
What if I do not like to have my blood drawn?
We advise you to let a few people do it, it is good to feel and understand what others are going through when you draw their blood. Instead of not participating at all, we advise you to limit the number of times you have your blood drawn. The instructors will gladly donate their arms, hands, and any other part of their body for others to practice on.
What if at the end of the course or courses I choose to attend I don't feel comfortable?
If at the end of the course you don't feel comfortable drawing blood, we invite you to come back through the course for FREE as many times as you need to. Or if you need some quick practice before a job interview, you can contact our staff for an appointment to practice drawing blood. Remember, our goal is making you an incredible Phlebotomist and we will do anything to that end. You can also convert from the standard course to the National course by simply paying the difference in cost of the two courses.
